by | Jan 7, 2014

Whether you made a resolution to get in better shape or you just want to reset your body for the new year, juice bars across the region are ready to help you jump start your health with a variety of rejuvenating, produce-based cleanses.

Get “Sejuiced” in Vancouver with a selection of “Vital Fluids,” “Energy Elixirs” and “Super Powershakes,” all designed to enhance your health from the inside out. Revitalize your tired liver (too much Holiday Hooch?) with Sejuiced’s Liver Cleanser. Loaded with milk thistle (a naturopathic remedy for liver ailments), this cleanser will help repair damages made from any recent holiday celebrations. Or, treat your whole body with a cabbage, carrot and apple-based Cleansing Tonic. With a full-menu of elixirs (and food, if you get hungry) all designed to encourage healthy bodies, Sejuiced is a no-brainer for post-holiday repair. || Individual juices range in price from $5-$6.

Washingtonians can try a one, three or five-day cleanse with Bellevue, Wash.,’s Jujubeet, and give their bodies everything they’ll need to “reset, rejuvenate and rebuild.” If it’s your first time cleansing (or if it’s been a while), start out with the Beginner Cleanse, which includes everything from infused waters and juices to “shots” loaded with all the probiotics you’ll need to strengthen your immune system (just in time for winter). Jujubeet also offers their Signature and Master Cleanses for more experienced juicers. You can order your cleanse in advance for next day pick up at Jujubeet’s Bellevue location. || A one-day Signature Cleanse costs $70.

Portlanders, are you ready for a three-day challenge? Portland’s Kure Juice Bar offers a three-day cleanse complete with 15 16-ounce organic juices, three 16-ounce cashew milks, coconut oil and yerba mate tea to help you kick-off your 2014 health habit. You can book your cleanse in advance for pick-up at one of Kure’s Portland locations, or, have yours delivered to your home via Portland Pedal Power. Check out Kure’s website for tips on how to prepare for your cleanse (i.e. “Staying away from meat, dairy, coffee and process sugars/foods at least two days before starting your cleanse), and get ready to rejuvenate. || Pick-up cleanses are $115 and delivery is $135.

We all know the hardest part of the holidays is getting back into the healthier habits we practiced prior to turkey dinners, indulgent desserts and calorific cocktails, but even if you don’t plan on making it to the gym like everyone in the world, these simple cleanses are a great way to clean-up your body and prep it for the long year ahead.
