SEATTLE (August 1, 2024) — Washington Wine is celebrating the return of its most vibrant month, “WAugust.”

Formerly known as Washington Wine Month, WAugust showcases Washington’s exceptional wines and energetic spirit. Now in its third year, this month-long celebration unites wine lovers to honor the state’s wine industry. Connoisseurs, enthusiasts, and newcomers alike are invited in for special deals, events, and promotions at wineries, tasting rooms, restaurants, grocery stores, and in backyards all month long. Indulge and celebrate the dedication of farmers, vintners, and the more than 1,050 producers that make Washington a premier wine destination.

“August is the month we celebrate our incredible industry. Washington’s diverse and dynamic wine scene offers something for everyone,” said Kristina Kelley, Executive Director of the Washington State Wine Commission. “This WAugust, take the opportunity to discover new wines and wineries, travel to a new region, and choose a new bottles of Washington wine from your local store. Get out in your neighborhood, visit your favorite restaurants and retails stores, and come together with Washington wine this month.”

Bright, bold, messaging will be on display in stores and across social media channels to spread the WAugust message. Retailers, restaurants, and wineries across the state have signed on as partners to utilize WAugust toolkits and assets to elevate their marketing.
