Wandering Aengus Ciderworks 2011 Oaked Dry Cider

by | Jun 11, 2013

Wandering Aengus Ciderworks co-owner James Kohn was born and raised around the corner from a New Hampshire apple orchard, so it only makes sense that his Salem, Ore. cidery produces a cider that has fruit from both Hood River, Ore. and Lebanon, N.H. The 2011 Dry Oaked cider shows the best of the apple and the barrel with spicy vanilla and clove tones blended in with true apple flavors and citrus. Brighter than it should seem, the oak is prominent but not overbearing, leaving a crisp fruit flavor as if you bit into the apple itself.
