Wander Brewing Doglost Lager

by | Jun 12, 2014

Suds up under the sun in refreshingly crisp summer beers with this German-style pilsner from Bellingham, Wash.,’s Wander Brewing. Owners Chad and Colleen Kuehl bring in the malts, along with Merkur and Hersbrucker hops, straight from Germany to craft the Doglost Lager. The result of their German-via-Northwest pilsner is a light, crisp, refreshing and clean lager with a gentle hop zing. The subtle notes of nut are mellowed by a splash of citrus, making this an ideal brew for those warm, evenings on the back porch.

The Kuehls’ passion for craft beer inspired them to add to the rapidly growing beer scene in this city. After spending years working with other big names in the industry and aspiring to build their own small business, the Kuehls sold their house and bought a brewery. Today, Chad runs the brewery while Colleen handles the business end. While the doors to their brewhouse have only been open since early May of this year, the reception has locals raving and enjoying in as they kickback on the back patio.
