Celebrating the organization’s 20th year with a new brand identity.
WALLA WALLA, WA – Today, the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance unveiled an updated brand highlighting the region’s dedication to world-class wine and an unparalleled wine country experience. In addition to a refreshed look, the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance will transition to be called Walla Walla Valley Wine.
“This year, our organization celebrates its twentieth year of representing the Walla Walla Valley wine industry, and we are thrilled to usher in the next decade with a new brand identity,” shares Robert Hansen, Executive Director of Walla Walla Valley Wine. “As the Walla Walla Valley continues to mature, the new brand positions us to highlight the exceptional community of winegrowers and producers along with the approachable, immersive wine country experience that is uniquely Walla Walla Valley Wine.”
Developed in partnership with Seattle-based creative marketing agency, Green Rubino, the mark is a modern vineyard representation brought to life by a bold color palette inspired by the natural elements of the Walla Walla Valley – from vine to sky and bedrock to bottle. For example, the terracotta color included in the mark is a direct color pick from the oxidized iron found in basalt, a foundational element of the region’s terroir. The organization’s previous brand identity was last updated in 2008. Since that time, the region’s wine and hospitality industry has experienced tremendous growth.
“It was important for us to honor our heritage while aligning the brand to the region’s dynamic path forward,” shares Josh McDaniels, Board President of Walla Walla Valley Wine and CEO and Director of Winemaking for Bledsoe Wine Estates. “Our commitment to collaboration, innovation and production of the highest quality expression of Walla Walla Valley terroir has only grown over the last 13 years. The new mark’s captivating design invites you in and welcomes you to be part of the next era of Walla Walla Valley Wine.”
Located in both Southeastern Washington and Northeastern Oregon, the Walla Walla Valley is home to nearly 3,000 acres of vineyards and over 120 wineries producing a wide range of quality wines in a variety of styles. Walla Walla Valley Wine offers an immersive wine
experience with concentrations of wineries just minutes apart, making the Valley easily explored. The ever-evolving wine, culinary and hospitality scene makes the Walla Walla Valley an ideal destination to visit again – there is always something new to try.
The brand launch is accompanied by an overhaul to Walla Walla Valley Wine’s website, social channels, and the Walla Walla Valley Wine Guide, offering expanded visitor information, AVA facts and a new varietal chart to help consumers navigate the wide range of high-quality wines produced in the region. Available in both digital and print format, wine enthusiasts can access the guide, or request a physical copy at WallaWallaWine.com.
