Traditions Ciderworks 2013 Afton Field

by | Mar 24, 2015

The Old World orthodox cider style brand from 2 Towns Ciderhouse, Traditions Ciderworks, lives up to its name. Airing on the side of traditional (obviously) in production and cider profile, Traditions uses apples and honey from fellow Corvallis, Oregon grower Afton Field Sustainable Farm for their 2013 Afton Field. Unfined, unfiltered and unpasteurized then fermented in Pinot Noir wine barrels, this small-batch farmhouse-style cider is tangibly fruity, nuanced with aromas of honey but flavors of honeycomb, building a well-structured, bone-dry apple base to this inherently funky, robust cider.
