Tinte Cellars Acquires Sugarloaf Vineyard

by | Dec 1, 2024

Woodinville, WA – In 2018, co-owners and husband and wife team Tim Gamble and Teresa Spellman Gamble launched Tinte Cellars with a vision of producing Great Wine for the Greater Good.

Today, its goal of crafting world-class wines and generously giving back to the community is being realized, as Tinte Cellars successfully bridges philanthropy with operation of a premium Washington State winery producing award-winning wines.

GIVING BACK | GREAT WINE FOR THE GREATER GOOD

Since its founding, Tinte Cellars has supported more than 230 non-profit organizations in the local and greater WA community with $1.365+ million in Cash and In-Kind donations and hundreds of hours of volunteer community service.

Tim Gamble and Teresa Spellman Gamble are co-chairs again this year of the “No Child Sleeps Outside” campaign for the non-profit Mary’s Place to help support families in the Seattle area community. Teresa is also a board member of the Auction of Washington Wines which supports Seattle Children’s Hospital, WSU Viticulture & Enology, and Vital Wines.

AWARDS AND ACCOLADES

Producing approximately 4,000 cases of award-winning Washington wine annually, Tinte has earned dozens of awards and accolades such as Double Gold and Gold medals from the San Francisco International Wine Competition, Seattle/Washington Wine Awards, and Pacific Northwest Wine Competition as well as “Judges Pick” and “Cellar Selection” from SIP Magazine and the Wine Enthusiast. Tinte was named the Puget Sound Business Journal’s Corporate Citizen of the Year for Basic Needs in 2024 and won Gold in the Seattle Times Best in the PNW contest for Best Wine Selection / Wine Shop category. About Rattlesnake Hills AVA – information courtesy of Tinte Cellars

Located in Washington State’s Yakima Valley, the Rattlesnake Hills AVA (American Viticultural Area) is celebrated for its exceptional terroir. Here, rolling hills, unique soils, elevated landscapes, a favorable climate, and a strong farming tradition come together to create outstanding wines. Known as “The Hills,” this picturesque region features the Rattlesnake Hills Range, with stunning views of Mount Adams and Mount Rainier. It hosts renowned vineyards like Copeland, DuBrul, Dineen, Elephant Mountain, Pollard, Sheridan, and Two Blondes. The region produces outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc with balanced ripeness and velvety tannins, and Riesling with a hallmark freshness and natural acidity—all showing a distinctive minerality unique to this small enclave within Washington state.
