The new, Nordic-inspired glamping option in Oregon’s Willamette Valley will be celebrated with a 48-hour, 30% off travel deal beginning February 4
Dayton, Ore. (February 4, 2025) — The Vintages Trailer Resort, two-time “Best Vintage Trailer Hotel” Reader’s Choice award winner from USA TODAY 10Best, is thrilled to announce the addition of a newly-restored, Nordic-inspired retro glamping trailer to their collection of vintage trailer accommodations in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
To celebrate the new opening, a 48-hour, 30% OFF travel deal will take effect at 12:01am on February 4 and conclude at 11:59pm on February 5, 2025 at the-vintages.com. All stays booked property-wide during the sale will receive 30% off nightly rates on travel dates through December 31, 2025.
The Vintages offers a “neighborhood” of 34 unique and fully-restored vintage trailers situated along a charming boulevard, lit by hundreds of globe lights by night and capped by a well-appointed General Store stocked with local beer, wine, and picnic provisions. Each trailer offers guests all the amenities of a modern hotel stay, including top-of-the-line bedding and bath products, well-appointed lounge and bedroom areas, high speed Internet and smart TVs, in-trailer local wine for purchase, pour-over local coffee, and individually-themed décor styling.
To freshen and diversify the property’s stay options, The Vintages’ 1972 Airstream Sovereign underwent a complete interior design overhaul in 2024, including the addition of a full bathroom with toilet and separate, tiled shower, as well as all-new, interior-wide flooring, wall paneling, track and ambient lighting, paint, and furnishings. Clean and airy Nordic design served as inspiration for the trailer’s aesthetic, with simple lines, a cooling color palette, and natural materials providing a soothing yet uplifting ambiance.
The 31-foot, 1972 Airstream Sovereign holds a unique place in travel trailer history, as it was produced during a pivotal era of innovation for the manufacturer. In the early 1970s, Airstream launched a new line known as Argosy to offer a family travel trailer at a medium price range, hoping to attract a new demographic of young customers. Many innovations tested in the Argosy series — such as panoramic windows and improved interior layouts — found their way into the existing Sovereign models of that era. Today, Argosy-era trailers are a fairly rare find and are appreciated by avid collectors, making them a perfect fit for a property like The Vintages, which celebrates travel nostalgia with a modern twist.

“We are very excited to share this Airstream Sovereign’s history and gorgeous new redesign with our guests,” said Jamie Weibelhaus, The Vintages’ general manager. “Every one of our 34 trailers offers a unique experience, but this one is sure to be a guest favorite in the years to come.”
The new trailer’s generous floorplan makes it the perfect stay for couples, adults traveling with kids, or friend groups. At 31-feet long, it serves as one of the more spacious trailers available on the property, comfortably accommodating three travelers and offering one king-sized and one daybed. The brand new ductless HVAC system ensures precise temperature control year-round, and the extra large water heater guarantees all three guests can enjoy long, hot showers during their stay.
Guests staying in late winter and early spring will appreciate the property’s communal Fireside, a collection of cozy outdoor seating and propane fire pits lit and maintained nightly by The Vintages’ staff. Beginning in May, the resort’s private outdoor pool will open for the season, giving guests yet another picturesque setting to enjoy after a day spent exploring the surrounding Willamette Valley.
