WINE WEDNESDAY: Indian Creek Winery 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, Simms Vineyard

As one of Idaho’s oldest wineries, founded in 1982, Indian Creek Winery is family-owned and -operated in the Snake River Valley. Now in its second generation, Indian Creek produces a wide range of traditional grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Malbec and Viognier from several estate vineyards. Exclusively from the estate Simms Vineyard and only available through the 100 cases produced, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is subtle and serene with dark berry fruit and plum, savory tones of mint and vanilla and finishes with simple, easy tannins.
