The Daily Sip: Batch 206 MAD MINT Vodka

SPIRIT FRIDAY: Batch 206 MAD MINT Vodka

Batch 206 Distillery came into fruition as soon as Washington state made it legally possible in 2008. As die-hard Seattleites with roots in the state’s agricultural community, businessman Jeff Steichen (former owner of the Showbox Theater) and master distiller Rusty Figgins (of the Figgins family behind Leonetti and Figgins wineries) now have a thriving distillery with distilling classes, devoted consumers and four products, including the MAD MINT Vodka. Cool, refreshing with a tone of chocolate that is the offspring of a Klondike Bar and a Junior Mint, the MAD MINT is a nip of sweetness and blast of reinvigorating herb. Produced from 100% Washington-grown grain and infused with all-natural, Washington-grown peppermint, the vodka stands solid on its own and would fit pretty comfortably into a mojito or spiked hot chocolate, depending on what Mother Nature dishes up these days.
