CIDER TUESDAY: Anthem Cider Cherry Cider
The Northwest artisan cider movement found its cadence in the early 2000’s, much due to a pace set by Salem, Ore.’s Wandering Aengus Ciderworks. The company launched a fresh, youthful brand called Anthem Cider a few years later, taking a “true cider” approach and honoring the tartness of fermented apples and the natural malic acid of the fruit. The Anthem Cherry gives the same respect but to cherries as well, with a straight-forward, tart cherry cider and the crisp body and finish of a green Granny Smith apple and some sweet vanilla tones.
