Enjoy the season’s bounty at Carve Kitchen + Meatery and special hotel rates all summer long

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. (July 24th, 2024): British Columbia’s newest travel destination, Naturally Pacific Resort, celebrates the long sultry days of summer on Vancouver Island’s sheltered east coast, the perfect getaway for a weekend escape or an action packed week-long adventure.

To celebrate the resort’s first summer season, guest rooms start from $239 plus resort fee and taxes, offering exceptional value to enjoy a huge range of adventures, elevated dining and blissful relaxation. “We are so excited to welcome guests to Campbell River this summer and share our beautiful corner of the island with the world,” says owner and general manager, Amanda Mailman. “Come breathe the ocean air, witness whales in the calm waters of the Discovery Inlet, explore the artisan communities of nearby Quadra Island by bike, and recount all the day’s adventures beside Naturally Pacific Resort’s fire pits with a delicious glass of B.C wine.”

Savour Vancouver Island’s summer produce at the resort’s signature restaurant, Carve Kitchen + Meatery. With a live-edge outdoor Harvest Table for celebrations and group gatherings, spacious patio, and elegantly designed interiors including a floor-to-ceiling living wall with lush tropical plants, Executive Chef Ryan Watson shares his passion for British Columbia farmers, sourcing high-quality ingredients from notable and sustainable producers. Together with talented on-site horticulturalists, the kitchen team is helping to grow a flourishing 10,000 square foot garden, now bursting with an abundance of vegetables and herbs to enhance seasonally-changing dishes, along with a small apiary, producing honey for cocktails and dressings.

A summer long, frequently changing, three-course Prix Fixe menu showcases some of the Carve Kitchen + Meatery’s most popular dishes, for $49 per guest. Fresh caesar salad or daily soup is followed by a choice of main including glazed beef short rib, pea puree, potato croquette and grain mustard jus or butternut squash steak with charred shallots, white bean and spinach, sweet and spicy pistachios and salsa verde, and a delicious creme brulee with vanilla cream, candied orange wheel and fresh berries to finish.

Midweek, pull up a seat at the horse-shoe shaped marble bar or at one of the outdoor fire pits for Carve Kitchen + Meatery’s Wine & Cheese Wednesdays. Savour glasses of wine from British Columbia producers for just $12 with the option to pair with a choice of charcuterie platters.

On Saturdays throughout the summer, enjoy a delicious brunch menu, with dishes including Dungeness Crab Benedict with chive potato cake, poached eggs, hollandaise and artisan greens; Banana Bread French Toast with Nutella ganache, banana compote, maple almond granola; and Mushroom Toast with poached eggs, burrata cheese, pickled shallots and champagne vinaigrette.

After brunch, head to the Campbell River Golf Club for a round of golf or book a bay at Velocity Driving Range, and choose from many of the world’s most celebrated golf courses with state-of-the-art digital Topracer technology. Squeeze in a swim in the resort’s pool or book a soak in Immersion Spa + Wellness’ Mineral Pools and Experience Showers and feel stresses melt away, before retiring to a thoughtfully designed guest room with pillow-top beds for a restful night’s sleep.
