PORTLAND, OR, July 2, 2024 – Stillweather Spirits, a family-owned and operated distillery in the greater Portland area, proudly announces the release of their newest creation: American Sunset Gin. This barrel-rested gin is a testament to the artistry and dedication of co-owners Erin and Jeff D’Achino, who have been crafting premium spirits since 2018.
American Sunset Gin begins with Stillweather’s award-winning American Gin, which is then rested in ex-rum barrels. This process infuses the gin with a warm tone, subtle vanilla, and beautiful toasted aromatics, complementing the crisp juniper, deep citrus, and hearty pepper notes that define Stillweather’s signature gin. The result is a full-bodied and extremely adaptable spirit, perfect for sipping neat or as a base for stunning cocktails.
American Sunset Gin is great for sipping and is often appreciated by people who gravitate towards dark spirits.”American Sunset Gin represents our commitment to innovation and quality,” said Erin D’Achino. “We wanted to create a gin that not only honors the traditions of gin-making but also brings something new and exciting to the table. The rum barrels add a richness and depth that e our customers love.”
