On a 24-acre farm in Bend, Ore., Bendistillery holds their distillery, tasting room and herbal garden for gin production, the first spirit founder and CEO Jim Bendis made in 1996. Today, the distillery produces seven spirits for themselves under the Crater Lake label, along with a private label division that produces spirits for 44 brands and varying portfolios. Bendistillery strives to replicate the pure Oregon water that is naturally clarified when it runs over volcanic rocks—to mimic this process, Bendis developed a filtration system that uses crushed volcanic rock to create a smooth and clean spirit. Along with the filtered water, five different varieties of sweet and hot peppers go into the Crater Lake Pepper Vodka, using the Crater Lake Vodka as the base. Ideal for extra spice in a Bloody Mary at your tailgate party, this vodka brings the sweet, clean heat to the kitchen and the bar.
