Kick Up Your CINCO DE MAYO with THIS Spicy Northwest Pineapple Margarita Recipe!

by | May 5, 2023

Cinco de Mayo is a festive celebration of Mexican culture and heritage that is often marked by delicious food and drink. And what better way to toast to the occasion while keeping it local with this spicy pineapple margarita made with Oregon’s Pilot House Distilling Diablo Azul Blanco! This cocktail is the perfect blend of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors, making it a delicious and refreshing way to celebrate with friends and family. The sweetness of the pineapple is perfectly complemented by the kick of jalapeño, while the blanco and lime juice give it that classic margarita flavor.

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ ounces Diablo Azul Blanco (Pilot House Distilling)

1 ½ ounces pineapple juice

1-ounce fresh lime juice

3/4-ounce Cointreau

2 to 4 fresh jalapeño slices

Ice

Rim: Tajín and/or coarse sea salt

Garnishes: pineapple wedge, jalapeño slice, lime wedge

DIRECTIONS

Rim the edge of the glass with a lime wedge. Dip it in a plate of either Tajín, coarse sea salt or a combination of the two.

In a cocktail shaker, combine the Diablo Azul Blanco, pineapple juice, lime juice, Cointreau and jalapeño slices. Add ice and shake vigorously for 5 to 10 seconds.

Strain into the rimmed glass and add extra ice. Garnishes with a pineapple wedge and jalapeño slice.
