Skip Rock Distillers Belle Rose Double-Barrel Rum

by | Oct 9, 2015

Big news—our Best of the Northwest 2015 list has been released! We had a fantastic time picking all of our favorite spirits, wines, beers, ciders, travel destinations and more for this annual issue. This week’s Daily Sip is one of my favorite category winners in the Best of Spirits lineup, not only because it’s a great new addition to Skip Rock Distiller’s already stellar selection, but also because its flavor profile is a perfect fit for fall. Pick up a copy of our Best Of issue to find tasting notes for all of our category winners!

From start to finish, Belle Rose Double Barrel Rum from this Snohomish, Washington distillery is beautifully complex. At once leathery, woodsy and sweet on the nose, the first sip adds smoke, spice, dried tobacco and buttery oak to the mix, while the warm, lingering finish brings still more characteristics: turbinado sugar, fig, golden raisin and a trace of fall spices.
