Yakima-based Single Hill Brewing’s new Seattle location is set to open on Tuesday, August 13th. Located in northwest Ballard, the Single Hill Commons occupies the former location of Outpouring Bottle Shop. Announced in June of this year, Single Hill Brewing’s first satellite location features a well-curated selection of wine and guest beer in addition to the breadth of Single Hill’s beer portfolio.
The Single Hill Commons is the six-year old brewery’s first retail location in the Seattle area, after over five years of availability in and around the city through distribution. Producing over 70 brands of beer every year, Single Hill’s beer portfolio is ever-changing.
“We know that the modern craft beer drinker likes options. They’re keeping an eye out for the newest releases every time they go out,” said Andrew Pytel, Director of Sales & Marketing for Single Hill, “so we give them what they want. Each month we release multiple IPAs, a fruited sour ale, a lager, and a rotating list of other beer styles to keep things fresh. All of these releases will be available on draft and in cans at the Commons.”
While Single Hill’s beer is the primary focus of the new location, the Single Hill Commons also features a wide selection of other beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in order to support the broadening interests of tavern-goers.
“We’re so very excited to bring Single Hill to Seattle” Pytel continues, “and Single Hill is an organization all about community. The opportunity to share more of our beer in a dedicated space that we’re curating is wonderful. That said, building a community around a tavern isn’t as simple as it used to be. A group of friends going out for a drink won’t all be drinking beer, so we’re making sure that we can take care of those who are gluten-free, or sober, without it feeling like an afterthought.”
The Single Hill Commons will open its doors to the public at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 13th. As required by state law of a tavern, it is a 21+ establishment.
