In Preview: 2nd Annual Gathering of Farm Cideries

by | Feb 22, 2016

After a well-received reception last year, The 2nd Annual Gathering of Farm Cideries will take place at Nine Pin Cider in Albany, New York. On February 27, 11 of the Empire State’s farm cideries will provide tastings of their ciders – all of which are produced with local New York-grown apples.

Both Blackduck Cidery from Ovid, New York and Embark Craft Ciderworks from Williamson, New York will be offering tastings at the event. Make sure to try Blackduck’s Black Currant Cider and Embark Craft’s Old Marauder.

The gathering caters to both the hardcore cider drinker and the casual cider sipper. Whether you just want to taste a little bit of product or walk away with a whole bunch of liquid gold, they’ve got you covered. Attendees will be able to purchase cider in glass, bottle or growler form.

The event will be held in two separate sessions. The first of the sessions will last from noon to 3 p.m. and the second will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased here.
