Seattle Cocktail Week Returns in March to Celebrate, Uplift Local Bars and Restaurants

by | Feb 18, 2025

The U.S.’s largest consumer cocktail week will shake things up March 2-9

SEATTLE— February 12, 2025—Seattle Cocktail Week™ returns for a sixth exciting year to celebrate the creative and dynamic cocktail culture in Seattle. Locals can join in the fun by visiting participating bars and restaurants from Sunday, March 2 to Sunday, March 9, and attending the immersive Carnival of Cocktails event on Saturday, March 8 at Seattle Center Exhibition Hall.

Participating bars and restaurants will offer at least one special cocktails during Seattle Cocktail Week, with one encouraged to be non-alcoholic. It’s a week that is meant for the sober and sober-curious set as much as it is for spirited drinkers.

For those in the bar and beverage industry, this year’s Bartender’s Circle Summit, March 3-5, will talk bar trends and techniques with fun and engaging demonstrations, panels, and discussions. Attendees get to celebrate the industry, network with peers, and gain knowledge to improve their cocktail programs.

“Bars and restaurants need the public’s support in a real way right now. While we created Seattle Cocktail Week as a fun event to get people out, try new drinks and discover new bars, we also view this week as an opportunity to show up for those establishments, show them that we as a city are here for them”, said Amy Faulkner, former bartender, and founder of Seattle Cocktail Week.

Non-alcoholic spirits and cocktails are high on the list of importance for Seattle Cocktail Week – they will be highlighting sober bartender Keegan McGregor at the Summit, who won Diageo’s 2024 Bartender of the Year. Proving the notion that you can be sober in the industry and still excel behind the bar.

New this year, the Seattle Cocktail Week team is implementing Safe Bar training for Summit attendees. This program will teach bystander intervention training, which highlights how to keep yourself safe while also protecting a customer who may be getting taken advantage of, bullying and other scenarios. Faulkner and her team are passionate about improving safety in the industry and making bars safe spaces.
