Auburn, Wash.’s Schilling & Company Cider is a descendant in a long local lineage of Washington producers—co-founder Colin Schilling is the great-great-grandson of August Schilling, the founder of Schilling Spice Company (now McCormick) and brought his family name to his new cidery. Joining the canning rage, all Schilling ciders are available on draft and four-packs at retailers, including the Oak Aged Cider. Fermented and finished in American oak (supposedly Northwest-sourced), the semi-dry cider brings baking spices like cinnamon, clove and vanilla with its red apple aroma and flavor profile. Finishing medium-bodied, rich and smooth, pop a top on this cider while fireside with friends.
