Savor Idaho: Idaho’s Premier Wine & Food Event

Long gone are the days of potatoes, Idaho is smartly savoring wine instead.

With 1,600 acres of planted vineyards in Idaho, savoring every moment has never been easier. Returning for its fifth anniversary is Savor Idaho on Sunday June 9, from 2 to 6 pm, in the lush Idaho Botanical Garden.

For the last five years, Savor Idaho has become Boise’s top-notch wine and food event. Hosted by the Idaho Wine Commission, they bring in the best of what’s around in Idaho for an afternoon spent in the state’s elegant botanical garden.

This year, 26 wineries including the acclaimed Fraser Vineyard, Snake River and Woodriver Cellars. Each participating winery will offer guests a chance to meet the winemakers while they taste their latest creations. The Boise Co-op Wine Shop will also be attending this garden party. For those who want to go home with their favorite taste of the evening, their on-site wine shop can set them up.

But the wine isn’t the only thing to savor in Boise. 16 of the locally best restaurants, roasters and dairy farmers will be serving up tasting-sized portions of their newest achievements.

Exhibitions from local staples Ketchum Kitchens, Payette Brewing Co., Staying Alive, Upper Cervical Health Centers of America, and Winery Seekers Wine Tour will provide the education and entertainment to savor.

Feeling philanthropic? The “Wheel of Wine” will offer guest a chance a spin to win special prizes while donating to the Idaho Wine Education Scholarship Fund.

If you plan on coming in from out of town, Hotel 43, voted one of the cities best by Sunset Magazine, has partnered with Savor Idaho to offer special room rates. The hotel’s ideal location offers visitors a chance to shop while enjoying the natural surroundings.

Tickets to Savor Idaho are available now here. They are $45 per person. Advanced ticketing is recommended as the event has sold out in the past.
