Blending Punk Rock Attitude with Roaring ’20s Elegance

Coincides with 3rd Annual Preserve The Kulture Event Featuring: Punk-Era Panel and performances with Annabella Lwin (Bow Wow Wow) & Cherie Currie (The Runaways) Live Paint Battles And More

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Everett, WA — On August 9, Everett’s historic APEX Everett will officially welcome El Sid, a bold new coffee and cocktail lounge. Inspired by Sid Vicious, El Sid fuses the defiant spirit of British and American punk rock with the roaring ’20s architectural elegance of the APEX Everett—a collision of grit and glamour unlike anything else in the Pacific Northwest.

By day, guests can expect expertly crafted coffee for those who like their mornings with a little
edge. By night, the space transforms into a cocktail lounge where mixologists serve up punk-
rock inspired drinks.

“APEX Everett isn’t just a venue—it’s a phenomenon. Through music, art, cuisine, and craft
cocktails, it’s quickly becoming the entertainment mecca of the Pacific Northwest. With El Sid
setting the tone, we’re putting Snohomish County nightlife back on the map in a whole new
way.” – John Carswell (Founder)

Many of El Sid’s cocktails take cues from punk icons. London Calling is a bright, summer-ready
mix of City of London Gin, lemon, strawberry, and soda. Astro Zombie reimagines the classic
tiki Zombie with a spiced rum twist, while The Vicious is a bold, blood-red whiskey cocktail with
a bitter edge—perfectly at home in this rebellious space.

The concept comes straight from El Sid and APEX Everett founder John Carswell, who grew up fully immersed in the punk scene—mohawk and all. His appreciation for the raw, rebellious energy of British punk, mixed with the faded opulence of cities caught between elegance and unrest, became the driving force behind El Sid’s identity.

The grand opening will coincide with APEX’s third annual PTK (Preserve the Kulture) event—a celebration of urban art, music, and community. The day will feature live paint battles, DJ sets, an art show spotlighting pieces from the Dogtown Collection (the world’s largest graffiti and urban art collection on canvas) at AMGRAF Gallery, and a special punk-era panel discussion with Annabella (Bow Wow Wow) and Cherrie Currie (The Runaways). Guests can also enjoy a curated wine pairing dinner at APEX’s 16Eleven, Everett’s only 5-star restaurant.

With punk rock soul and a setting that drips with both history and attitude, El Sid is set to become a must-visit destination for anyone looking to drink—and live—a little louder.
