PROOF: The Festival of Washington Spirits Arrives

by | Jun 5, 2013

With all these beer and wine festivals, you begin to wonder where Washington’s distillers are hiding. Well that wait is over because the folks at the Washington Distiller’s Guild are ready to get festive.

Enter PROOF—the guild’s first-ever tasting event featuring all 40 of their many vodka, gin, bourbon and whiskey-producing distilleries. On June 15, attendees will be graced with the opportunity to sample any of the 40 craft spirits available at the industrial plant turned casual event space The Foundry by Herban Feast (formerly known as Urban Enoteca).

Also attending PROOF is the craftsmen and women behind the spirits to interact with people and talk to them about their craft.

But you wouldn’t make it too far on a tasting like this if there wasn’t food nearby. So chefs from some of Seattle’s top restaurants will be cooking up special samples to keep your stomach and taste buds happy and ready for more. Bartenders will be available to craft your favorite cocktail out of local spirits or have them make something up just for you.

Participating distilleries will include: 2bar Spirits, Rouge Spirits, Dry Fly Distilling Inc., Skip Rock Distillers and Project V Distillery. To see the full list of participating distilleries, go here.

Saturday, June 15 || 6 pm || The Foundry by Herban Feast || 4130 1st Ave. S Seattle, WA 98134 || Tickets: $40 (early bird), $45 (starting 6/8)
