100% Agave Tequila Crafted by Mexican Master DIstiller to Launch in Pacific Northwest

SEATTLE — Precept Wine & Spirits, the largest privately held wine and spirits producer in the northwest is thrilled to introduce La Casa Escapar, a 100% agave Tequila handcrafted in Jalisco, Mexico. Precept collaborated with Mexican master distiller Armando Enrique Esparza Villalpando to develop an authentic and complex tequila profile resulting in the creation of its first two expressions, Blanco and Reposado.

La Casa Escapar Tequila was born to honor the legacy of one of the giants of the beverage industry and longtime executive at Columbia Distributing, Scott DeMartine. Scott was renowned for inspiring friends, family and colleagues to chase their dreams and escape the ordinary. During nights out with industry friends, Scott coined the phrase “final final” – a nod to that one final drink, typically a pour of tequila, that would always cap a great evening.  This famed ethos of Scott is captured on the La Casa Escapar label with its signature tagline “Here’s to the journey, here’s to the destination, here’s to the final final.

“As a longstanding partner of Columbia Distributing, we’re thrilled to further elevate the spirits arm of our business with the addition of La Casa Escapar to our portfolio,” said Alex Evans, Chief Marketing Officer, Precept Wine & Spirits. “Our team’s deep roots in the industry have paved the way for La Casa Escapar’s prominent placement in top PNW on-premise locations. It’s especially rewarding to pay homage to a figure who has significantly impacted our industry and the PNW community.”

“Scott would be very proud of this tribute, not only because it’s created in his memory, but that Precept is stepping up to do it now in such a fast growing and fiercely competitive tequila market,” said Chris Steffanci, President & CEO, Columbia Distributing. “Scott was and always will be part of the Columbia family. I can think of no better way to honor him with this superior product coupled with our heart and determination to see it succeed. We’re chasing this dream for Scott.”

La Casa Escapar Blanco is uniquely smooth, lively and with a crisp, citrus finish, and is available for purchase at select QFC and Fred Meyer locations across Washington state. The Reposado is aged more than double the length of the minimum standards with a rich, warm, complex finish. Both the Blanco and Reposado are featured at select on-premise locations in the greater Seattle area, including Little Water Cantina in the Eastlake neighborhood and BeachHouse bar + grill in Kirkland. La Escapar will also be featured at Seattle Cocktail Week March 3 – 10.
