Portland Cider Co. Apple

by | Nov 10, 2015

Headlined by a cider-loving couple—one Oregon-raised, the other reigning from the apple-centric Somerset region of England—the birth of the Portland Cider Co. in 2012 was an exceptionally natural affair. Befitting this foundation is an array of English-style hard ciders crafted from Northwest apples, forever fusing the founders’ individual backgrounds keen on top-notch fruit and truthful practices. These ciders can be found daily in the newly minted and award-winning Portland Cider House taproom in Portland proper, alongside fellow Northwest guest taps such as 2 Towns and Tieton.

Recently released in cans, the Apple cider is a blend of its simple roots of Northwest apples, initially tart on the palate yet ever so bubbly and smooth at 5.5 percent ABV. This fruit-forward sipper is no doubt a classic accompaniment and will make a sensible and delicious pairing for your favorite fall cuisine.
