‘Buy Ben A Beer’ campaign will support BC hospitality workers in need
[Vancouver]: Today, the BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is launching Buy Ben A Beer, an online fundraising campaign. The goal is to raise $50,000, which will help at least ten (Ben)eficiaries across the province. To donate and more: buybenabeer.com.
Buy Ben A Beer is an online fundraiser where a “beer” can be purchased with a $5.00 minimum donation. Supporters are asked to post their own photo and encourage friends and family to buy the next round, using the hashtag #BuyBenABeer. The goal is to raise at least $50,000, which will help approximately ten people with $5,000 each in beneficiary support.
Who is Ben? We all have a Ben in our life. Ben can be anyone. They are the person who makes your daily coffee at your favourite corner café; the person who takes your bags to your hotel room; your favourite server at your local pub or restaurant. Everyone knows a Ben, someone who would be missed if they weren’t part of their day.
Funds raised will be used to cover the cost of medical equipment, prescriptions, transportation to therapy appointments, or to cover shortfalls towards housing, food or other expenses until “Ben” is able to return to the work force.
This is the public’s chance to Buy Ben A Beer and to change a life. Visit
