The celebrated contemporary Japanese restaurant expands to River Rock Casino Resort, bringing its signature Aburi Oshi Sushi to Richmond
Richmond, BC, February 24, 2025 – Aburi Restaurants Canada and River Rock CasinoResort are thrilled to announce the newest Miku location is set to debut this summer at River Rock Casino Resort. Known for its award-winning contemporary Japanese cuisine, Miku Richmond will offer an elevated dining experience in a stunning new waterfront location.

The expansion to Richmond marks a significant milestone for Miku, which first opened in Coal Harbour in 2008 and later introduced its distinctive offerings in Toronto a decade ago. Known for its innovative use of West Coast ingredients alongside Japanese flavours, Miku is credited with pioneering and popularizing the now ubiquitous Aburi Oshi Sushi in Canada.

When it opens later this summer, Miku will join the newly launched Gordon Ramsay Steak – Michelin-starred Chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay’s first fine dining restaurant in Canada – as one of the latest culinary additions at the resort. These exciting openings are part of River Rock’s extensive enhancements in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
