Little Uncle Peeks Pantry Hibiscus Soda

by | Mar 10, 2014

Seattle liege of Thai street food, Little Uncle, has recently rolled out a line of sundries under the handle of “Peeks Pantry.” Husband-and-wife chef/owners Poncharee (“PK”) and Wiley Frank run their walk-up, takeout window restaurant with locations on east Capitol Hill and (most recently) Pioneer Square, fueled by the inspiration of authentic street-side shophouses of their home Thailand. Focused on flavors, the Peeks Pantry line is no different—condiments include jams and curries along with handcrafted sodas. The Peeks Pantry Hibiscus Soda is not short on any seasonings either, it is juicy and floral from first sweet sip to the final acid bite. Made with simple ingredients listed on the label (soda water, organic hibiscus, flower juice and sugar), these rich, viscous sodas are to be served over ice and shared with Little Uncle grub.
