Launching Spring 2014!

by | Feb 17, 2014

Don’t call it a comeback; cider has been here for years. Although cider was said to be present during the Roman invasion of Britain in 55 BC, North American cider also notes in the history books with production dating back to the first English settlers. By the turn of the 18th century, the New England region was producing more than 300,000 gallons of cider a year. Today, cideries on the North American continent are nearly into the triple digits—and we think that’s something worth writing about.

CIDERCRAFT magazine is a bi-annual publication that focuses solely on North American cider. We profile the artisans behind the craft alongside the powerhouses that produce for the public, while exploring the regions and orchards, meeting the movers and shakers in the industry, listing original cocktail recipes from industry bar chefs and match professional pairings with cider-friendly cuisine.

Privately owned and operated by Sip Ventures, CIDERCRAFT is the first and only national publication dedicated to cider. We are devoted to shining a light on the evolution and resurgence of one of the oldest beverages on the continent, bringing both education and appreciation of the drink to the people.
