Introducing Sip’s Wine Guide: British Columbia

by | Mar 10, 2017

Sip’s Wine Guide: British Columbia launches as the premier guide to touring the wine regions of the province.

From Sip Publishing, the privately owned-and-operated publisher behind the award-winning regional beverage publication Sip Northwest and the international cider magazine CIDERCRAFT, comes Sip’s Wine Guide: British Columbia. Built by British Columbia’s elite wine industry experts and journalists, Sip’s Wine Guide: British Columbia is a wine-focused guide for travelers to the province, with a thorough blueprint of each of the sub-appellations and insight into the thriving industry.

Circulation for the inaugural issue commences at 30,000 and hits newsstands this month. The annual Sip’s Wine Guide: British Columbia details each region, speaks with industry influencers, spotlights stunning wines and innovative producers and much more, including tasting notes and restaurant recommendations. Sharing the narrative of the individual wine regions by synchronizing with the area’s best wine storytellers, this guide will be a reader-friendly, easy-to-navigate wine country tour guide.

“We’ve gathered some of the top wine professionals in the province to share their insights and experience for this magazine, one that will be a useful reference for both locals and visitors,” says Treve Ring, managing editor and BC native. “BC has an incredible wine culture with a diversity of regions, climates and grapes to explore. I’m excited to work with this trusted team to showcase the wine scene in my own backyard.”

Contributors for the first issue include Anthony Gismondi, Rhys Pender, Kurtis Kolt, DJ Kearney and Tim Pawsey, leading the force for Sip’s Wine Guide: British Columbia on uncovering the tastes of the pioneering wine scene.

“With the increased focus on wine and culinary tourism in British Columbia, this is the perfect time for the launch of Sip’s Wine Guide: British Columbia,” says Laura Kittmer, media relations manager at the British Columbia Wine Institute. “Having worked with the team at Sip Publishing for many years, I have been consistently impressed with their commitment to quality, and I know that this guide will be a spectacular showcase of the Wines of British Columbia and our premium wine regions.”
