HEAR IT HERE FIRST: SIP NORTHWEST LIVE LAUNCHES AS PREMIER CRAFT BEVERAGE BROADCAST
Sip Northwest and Northwest Vine Time team up for new radio show beginning November 14
Award-winning magazine Sip Northwest is teaming up with the popular wine-themed radio show, Northwest Vine Time, to launch Sip Northwest Live. Starting November 14, celebrated radio host and personality Brian Bushlach will collaborate with the beverage-based magazine on a new broadcast to showcase the region’s incredible wine, beer, cider and spirits industries, as well as travel and hospitality.
“In wine terms, this is the ultimate blend of the region’s two most prominent media brands in wine, spirits and craft brewing,” Bushlach said. “I love Sip Northwest’s work, and bringing the editorial team’s expert content to the airwaves will enrich our on-air product and provide listeners with captivating stories they won’t find anywhere else.”
Sip Northwest publisher Kristin Ackerman said she feels the same. “Brian has a loyal, invested following—an audience and culture that we share so it was a natural pairing,” Ackerman said. “This is a great opportunity to break onto the airwaves and really provides Sip Northwest the chance to cover more ground, share more stories, and engage with our audience in a really personal way.”
“We pride ourselves on telling the untold stores and enlightening our readers to find new beverages, cocktail recipes, libation destinations and more,” Ackerman said. “With Brian’s help and expertise, we will be able to tell these stories on a weekly basis on air as a comprehensive media platform.”
Anchored by Seattle’s number one rated KIRO Radio and Portland’s number one KXL, the weekly Sip Northwest Live will be syndicated on the Radio NW Network airing in key markets across the region, such as KPNW Eugene and KMED Medford with additional markets slated for 2016. The show airs at 4 p.m. on Saturday in Oregon Markets, and 4 p.m. on Sunday in Seattle. Northwest Vine Time currently reaches more than 50,000 listeners around the region from the greater Seattle area and down to Southern Oregon. Produced by Feedback Media, it will also be available via podcast on MyNorthwest.com, SipNorthwest.com, iTunes and Google Play.
For the inaugural episode, Bushlach will visit the ¡Salud! Pinot Noir Auction on the grounds of the spectacular Allison Inn & Spa. Sip Northwest editor-in-chief Erin James will join him to dish on her favorite tastes of the auction.
