The Muse Offers True Prohibition-Era Bottle Selections, Rare Cognacs, Japanese Whiskey, Scotch & More
Founded by First Generation Chinese-American Husband & Wife: Jack Ng & Jin Ma
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Located in Everett (30 minutes north of Seattle) and tucked inside the century-old Weyerhaeuser building, The Muse has become one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier whiskey destinations, an integral part of Everett’s history and a defining staple of the waterfront.
Operating as a coffee shop by day, speakeasy-inspired whiskey bar by night, it’s one of the only places in the country where guests can taste true Prohibition-era bottles, spirits distilled before 1920, aged through the ban, and released in its final years. Alongside rare American, Scotch, and Japanese whiskeys, including Yamazaki 18 100th Anniversary, as well as select prestige offerings like Macallan M Black 2022 and 1997 Louis XIII Jeroboam.
The Muse’s cocktail program blends classic foundations with contemporary flavor design, favoring layered spirits and unexpected accents that bring depth and texture to every pour. The Dark Walnut, a guest favorite, pairs whiskey with pistachio, nocino, agave, and a touch of espresso, creating a rich, aromatic cocktail that’s both smooth and expressive.
Other offers include The Time Machine – a Whiskey Flight Featuring four Select Prohibition Era Whiskeys, Blockdale Pennsylvania Rye 1922, Old Crow 1927, Four Aces 1928, and Tip Top Spiritus Frumenti 1931.
Much of the building’s original 1920s character remains, giving The Muse an authentic Roaring ’20s atmosphere that grounds its rare whiskey and cocktail program.
The award-winning renovation, led by founders Jack Ng & Jin Ma in partnership with the Port of Everett, preserved the landmark’s heritage while reimagining it for modern hospitality. Jack, a first-generation Chinese-American entrepreneur and long-respected figure in Washington’s hospitality scene, envisioned The Muse as a tribute to Everett’s history and a new benchmark for destination drinking in the Pacific Northwest.
