Seattle Independent Restaurants Introduce “Nourish Independent” Dining Program Local alliance of indie operators band together to encourage citywide exploration of businesses.

Seattle, WA – The newly formed Indie Seattle Hospitality Alliance (ISHA) is excited to announce a citywide program that includes a diverse group of restaurants, bars and hospitality-focused businesses around Seattle. *Between September 15th and December 15th, guests will have three months to fill in 5 squares on their cards by visiting 5 different alliance businesses spread around the city. Patrons will earn a unique stamp from each property – the first ten participants to fill up all squares on their cards will be invited (with a +1) to a private gala hosted by the chefs and owners of the various businesses in the first quarter of 2025. The ultimate goal with Nourish Independent is to get people out to explore more Seattle businesses that they may not be familiar with…yet. A lot of these operators recognized that going outside of a ‘comfort zone’ post-pandemic was not as common with their guests. They hope to change that by incentivizing trying new neighborhoods.

The cards are free to obtain and can be picked up at any of the locations listed below that are participating in the initial pilot round of the program:

Atoma (Wallingford) Limited Edition Sushi (Capitol Hill) Bang Bang Kitchen/Bang Bang Cafe (Rainier Valley/Belltown) Lottie’s Lounge (Columbia City)

Cafe Suliman (Capitol Hill) Off Alley (Columbia City) Cantina Sauvage (Capitol Hill)

Seattle Fish Guys (Central District)

Copine (Ballard) The Greater Good (Ballard) Doe Bay Wine Company (Phinney Ridge) Underbelly (Pioneer Square) Light Sleeper (Capitol Hill)

ISHA: “Simple and straightforward – we are here to support each other. We understand the unique challenges inherent in being a small, independently owned business in Seattle. Our hope is to cross-promote along the way, and continue to build community.”

About Indie Seattle Hospitality Alliance:

ISHA was founded in 2024 by a group of local independent business owners with 3 or fewer properties, who wanted to inject some excitement back into the local hospitality scene. We had started to notice collectively that business levels were down for most of us across the board, post-pandemic. It didn’t seem to matter what sort of property we were operating. Whether it was just the economy or the state of the world, it was a recognized problem for many of us. So we created a mission statement:

To work collectively with the goal of enhancing our success and survival by creating public awareness, networking, coordinated marketing and promotion, affecting policy change and re-energizing the post-pandemic Seattle hospitality landscape.

Nourish Independent is a small, pilot program designed to get feedback from our guests to shape future events. We hope you’ll join in as we see where this journey takes us.

“Without experimentation, a willingness to ask questions and try new things, we shall surely become static, repetitive, and moribund.”
