What better way to celebrate official Taste Washington Month than with a most befitting festival featuring Washington’s top cuisine and wine? From March 31 to April 3, Seattle’s Taste Washington offers just that.
Four events work together to form the tastiest spring weekend: the Red & White Party at AQUA by El Gaucho, dedicated to wine and featuring unique barrel samples and reserve wines plus pairings; Taste Washington on the Farm, where guests can visit local farms and meet artisan producers; The New Vintage at Motif Seattle, a hip gathering combining some of the city’s best bites with beats by local DJ Tina T; and finally, the Grand Tasting held at the CenturyLink Field Event Center, what we’ve all been waiting for – over 225 Washington wineries, 65 restaurants and local and national chefs all in one delicious evening.
Meshed in with it all are a series of seminars running concurrently on April 2 and 3 at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. Learn about Washington’s Rhone-style wines through a blind tasting or brush up on the history of the Washington wine industry, of course by tasting what’s evolved out of said industry.
Whichever events you choose to participate in during Taste Washington, it’s sure to be a satisfying and educational weekend. Tasting your way through the state won’t get easier than this. Tickets are available here starting at $90 for general admission. Dedicated wine connoisseurs can also go all out with VIP tickets to experience Taste Washington to the fullest – this could be your year to savor it all.
