The Grand Sommelier Express Returns June 9

by | Apr 19, 2018

By popular demand, the Grand Sommelier Express returns June 9 to the Kettle Valley Railway Station in Summerland, British Columbia. Tickets, $150 each, are available here.

Tickets provide access to the Valley’s most unique outdoor tasting event combining a heritage steam train ride with the best of local food, drink, and live music. There are two time slots (1:00pm and 5:00PM) to choose from. Festivities include a picturesque steam train ride with an on board wine tasting, all while taking in the natural beauty of Summerland. The train makes a quick picture stop (and lavatory) at the trestle.

The ride culminates with an outdoor grazing reception complete with live music. Brodo Kitchen and their team of chefs provide the food; and wine, cider and beer stations feature Bottleneck Drive’s members. Before heading home, each attendee will receive a souvenir wine glass to commemorate the day. This is the third annual Grand Sommelier Express, and is quickly becoming an annual tradition, with visitors from all around traveling to take part.
