Finally, fatcork is open on Sundays!

by | Dec 17, 2025

SEATTLE, WA — After 15 years (all in the same beloved subterranean spot in Seattle’s Lower Queen Anne neighborhood), fatcork is taking a big step. Starting this week and continuing through the end of the year, guests can pop into the fatcork cave on Sundays from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

This decision marks an exciting milestone for the small business known for its grower Champagne club, charming bottle shop and tasting room, and dedication to bringing both connoisseurs and novices the highest-quality organic and biodynamic sparkling wine from small, family-run domaines in Champagne, France. Opening on Sundays will give both locals and visitors more opportunities to explore the cave, enjoy a tasting and discover new arrivals from France. Less than a 10-minute walk from Climate Pledge Arena and close to Seattle’s downtown theaters, fatcork is the ideal pre-show destination, whether you’re headed to a Sunday matinee or evening event.

“My wife, Abby, and I started fatcork 15 years ago with a simple but powerful mission: to bring the world’s best grower Champagne directly to wine-lovers in the U.S. with beyond-exceptional service,” said Bryan Maletis, founder of fatcork. “Today, that spirit and our values are the same. We cherish every one of our grower relationships. We still obsess over quality. And we’re still a small business fueled by passion and curiosity. By opening on Sundays, we’re giving guests more opportunities to pop in, taste something extraordinary and share the experience with friends. Plus, Sundays are practically made for Champagne.”

Adding Sundays also supports fatcork’s effort to increase awareness of its unique services, bringing in new business, boosting engagement with its loyal customer base and bolstering sales in the face of crippling tariffs — all while keeping its prices stable.

Guests are invited to visit fatcork at 111 W. John St., Suite 136A, in Seattle, Washington, any day of the week to enjoy curated tastings, discover one-of-a-kind bottles and experience the joyful, festive atmosphere that has made fatcork a Seattle favorite since 2010.
