Deschutes Brewery Black Butte Porter XXVII

by | Oct 15, 2015

The household name, Bend, Oregon’s Deschutes Brewery, releases their 27th anniversary imperial porter and it’s nothing short of a rich, chocolaty, espresso brew to coat the tongue. Aromas of a moist, wooden barn emerge to fill your nose as a result of the six-month aging process in bourbon barrels. Brewed with apricot puree, rose water and pomegranate molasses, these fruity and floral notes push through in layers of flavor and aroma that complement the strong chocolate infusion of Theo Chocolate’s cocoa nibs. Enjoy this reserve with a warm meal on a cozy fall or winter evening.
