When Seattle culinary experts team up with local craft brewers to create an exclusive tasting menu inspired by beer, what you get is a mouth watering evening of upscale dining complemented by the beers that inspired it. The 2013 Craft Beer + Food tasting, hosted by the Washington Beer Blog, is Seattle’s premier beer and food pairing event, and takes place Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Tyee Yacht Club on Lake Union in Seattle.
Attendees of the event have the opportunity to sample ten different food and craft beer pairings from a variety of local restaurants and breweries. At Craft Food + Beer, culinary specialists work along side of craft brewers to create unique and complementary pairings, resulting in an evening of enhanced dining.
Our favorite resident beer guru, Kendall Jones of the Washington Beer Blog, is looking forward to the 2013 line-up and says, “Some of the chefs are back for their third year at Craft Beer + Food and I’m excited to see how they will continue to step-up the game. Others are eager to get in there for the first time and see if they can wow the crowd.” Jones also notes that this year the event offers a “people’s choice award.”
Event participants will find an impressive line-up of some of the Seattle area’s finest restaurants. Featured at the event are Luc, Ballard Annex, Seastar Raw Bar, The Sixgill, Tanaka San, Brave Horse Tavern, Ravish, Station Pizzeria, Trellis, and The Triple Door.
As for the beer? Breweries featured at the event include Airways Brewing, Black Raven Brewing, Elysian Brewing, Fremont Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, Pike Brewing, Reuben’s Brews, Schooner Exact Brewing, Triplehorn Brewing, and Two Beers Brewing, with dessert provided by Bluebird Ice Creamery and Brewery.
