CedarCreek 2012 Riesling

by | Jul 17, 2013

CedarCreek Estate Winery Riesling 2012

This long-time established Kelowna winery has experienced a welcome Renaissance the past two years under winemaker Darryl Brooker’s reign. A dozen years making premium wines in Ontario, Australia and New Zealand has made his focus as sharp as this modern Riesling. A cold (8-9 degrees Celsius) and slow (77 days) stainless steel ferment heightens the pear, citrus and meadow herb aromatics, while the juicy and sleek palate of pink grapefruit and pear blossom (and 9.9% alcohol!) speak to the cooler site. Pair with white fish, scallops and summer.
