BuckSnort Root Beer

by | Oct 21, 2013

Root beer is in Kainoa Lopez’s blood. Although he was set on the track to success in corporate America as a database engineer, Lopez decided to follow in his great-grandfather’s footsteps and brew classic sodas. Lopez’s predecessors created Waialua Soda Works on his family’s property in Haleiwa, Hawaii in the late 1800’s and the sodas are still distributed across the United States today. Since 2009, Lopez has been making old fashioned, 100 percent pure cane sugar sodas in Boise, Idaho. By evading artifical flavors and colors, chemical preservatives, gluten and high fructose corn syrup, Lopez’ s BuckSnort Root Beer is distinct and true to his heritage. Brewed fresh on a weekly basis, the BuckSnort Root Beer bounces with carbonation and licorice, butterscotch, sassafras and wintergreen flavors.
