Find a different buzz at the Bremerton Summer BrewFest

If last month’s Washington Brewers Festival was the Washington Beer Commission’s summer get together, then this next festival will keep that seasonal buzz going. Set sail and map your voyage to Bremerton because this festival has a special surprise in store for its guests.

The 3rd Annual Bremerton Summer BrewFest will feature more than 25 breweries, but the beer may not be the only buzz the guests feel at this festival. Combining the Pacific Northwest’s love of craft beer and our famed craze for coffee, many brewers are arriving with specially made coffee-infused beverages to sample.

Making their way into Bremerton will be Kulshan Brewing Company, 7 Seas Brewing Company, Silver City Brewery, Iron Horse Brewery and Bainbridge Island Brewing, amongst many others.

Just a short walk from the ferry terminals, downtown Bremerton will come alive with an expected 3,000 attendees spending their day with craft beer and live music from local artists on what’s looking up to be an tranquilly warm day by the water.

Avoid traffic and arrive to the festival by boat. Guests coming in from Seattle are encouraged to take advantage of the beautiful ferry ride into Bremerton. Ferries will depart regularly all day and the trip takes about an hour. Once there, the festival is a short five minute walk.

The Bremerton Foodline, an organization whose mission is to reduce hunger and improve the quality of life for those in their community, will be grilling sausages and bratwursts. Proceeds from the day will help fund their efforts.

But if the classic festival fare doesn’t suit your needs, a handful of local restaurants are available within walking distance from the festival’s epicenter. Once your appetite is satisfied, you are welcome to walk back in and continue your voyage through the beers, just leave your wristband on.

Plan to stay the night and enjoy the hospitality of the Fairfield Inn & Suites. Discounted rates have been arranged for festival-goers to relax and enjoy their stay in Bremerton responsibly restful.
