Bows & Arrows Coffee Roasters Shiwanda Estate

by | Jun 9, 2014

Victoria, BC’s, craft coffee scene is booming and helping to lead the legions is Bows & Arrows Coffee Roasters, built by Vancouverites Drew Johnson and Leesha Sabine and business partner Amber Fox. The “open-concept” roastery is complete with a warehouse-chic production site and walk-up coffee bar in the Burnside neighborhood of Victoria. They roast for not only themselves but a number of coffee shops across the Northwest and Canada alike. The Shiwanda comes from a historic estate of the same name in Tanzania that was given new life in 1998. The result in the beans is juicy and inviting, with bright berries and fleshy stone fruit, finishing buttery with fervent acid.
