Bomber Brewing Choqlette Porter

by | Nov 20, 2014

According to Vancouver’s Bomber Brewing, their Choqlette Porter is a love letter from a male beer lover to his doting wife. By fusing one of her favorite things (chocolate) with one of his favorite things (beer), Bomber puts the romance and art of brewing into a bottle. Chocolate malt, cocoa powder in the mash and cocoa nibs are actually put in the fermentor and then the bottle of this beer, so those aromatics are undeniable on the bouquet and blend with soft citrus, flowers and roasty tones. The palate is creamy smooth, pulling out flavors of the three chocolates but leaving the bitterness of dark chocolate and mild hops on the finish. Balanced and robust, this beer might be a love letter but it is also a sweet-tooth’s solution in alcohol liquid form.
