Featuring a new collaboration, another of our “favorite things,” and a double-barrel-aged stout
Alesong Brewing & Blending is pleased to announce the debut of four new barrel-aged blends for its Spring release the weekend of May 15-18 at their wine country tasting room and to retailers across the Pacific Northwest. This release features four brand new beers for the season:
- Blossom is a delicate farmhouse ale that spent over two years in oak before being conditioned on Oregon lavender along with freshly grated lemon zest. At only 4.2% ABV, Blossom is a light and refreshing beer perfect for sunny days and patio refreshment as Oregon heads into the best season of the year!
- In collaboration with Xicha Brewing, Mezcla, or blend in Spanish, is a tart farmhouse ale that was aged for over a year in añejo tequila barrels to add the smoky earthiness familiar to lovers of the Mexican spirit. With the help of the Xicha kitchen team, we conditioned the blend on fire roasted pineapple and morita chili peppers to find that perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
- Bright Copper Kettlesis the next beer up in our “Favorite Things” series of winegrape co-ferments. A blend of tart blonde ales, conditioned on Malbec grapes from Quail Run’s Sophie Vineyard in Southern Oregon, the beer pours a stunning crimson that previews the bold blackberry and cherry flavors to come.
- And finally, Double Barrel Oak & Ember is a roasty, chocolatey, imperial oatmeal stout that was aged in Henry Mckenna 10-year barrels for a year before being treated to another round of maturation in 8-year Elijah Craig barrels, resulting in this wonderfully robust showcase of bourbon-barrel-aging glory.
Alesong will host a release party exclusively for Blender’s Circle Club members at their country brewery the weekend of May 15-18, featuring small bite food pairings to accompany each new beer and will have all four of the new beers available on draft and in bottles for non-members the following weekend alongside the normal menu from their on-site scratch kitchen. Bright Copper Kettles and Double Barrel Oak & Ember will be available at better retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest beginning the week after the brewery release.

ABOUT ALESONG BREWING AND BLENDING: Named Brewery of the Year at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival® in its size category, Alesong Brewing and Blending is an artisan brewery, winery, and cidery based in the heart of Southern Willamette Valley wine country outside Eugene, Oregon. With 100% of production spending time in oak, Alesong crafts unique and small-batch blends, producing styles that span the flavor spectrum. As the beer, wine, or cider in barrels matures, the team samples and selects barrels individually to create a final blend. Paying homage to old-world Lambic blenders and artisan winemakers, Alesong strives to achieve complex and balanced final blends that are much more interesting and complete than the sum of their parts or any individual barrel by itself.
