A rustic yet refined Pacific Northwest dining experience with unobstructed views of Snoqualmie Falls
SNOQUALMIE, Wash. (April 2, 2025) – Salish Lodge & Spa, the iconic resort atop Snoqualmie Falls owned by the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe and operated by Columbia Hospitality, announced today the reopening of The Restaurant & Terrace Bar, a completely reimagined dining experience with a new concept, menu and design. The Restaurant at Salish Lodge is now a Pacific Northwest exploration of the classic American steakhouse, where the rugged beauty of Salish’s natural surroundings meets elevated dining.
“The Restaurant & Terrace Bar at Salish Lodge is a true celebration of the Pacific Northwest, honoring the rich history of this iconic place while embracing a new culinary adventure,” said Alan Stephens, general manager of Salish Lodge & Spa. “For decades, guests have come to Salish to celebrate life’s special moments. This transformation of our restaurant allows us to serve them better than ever — offering exceptional food and drink, breathtaking views and warm hospitality in a sophisticated yet relaxed space where they can create lasting memories.”
The new menu is a celebration of the region’s bounty, with a special focus on local dry-aged beef sourced from nearby Royal Ranch, including premium cuts like New York strip, filet mignon and bone-in ribeye. Local produce, responsibly sourced seafood (including salmon, halibut, jumbo prawns and signature Alaskan king crab legs) and vegetarian and vegan dishes create an exceptional well-rounded and seasonally driven menu that every guest can enjoy. Classic steakhouse sides such as hand-cut fries, grilled asparagus and baked potatoes are joined by innovative additions like Northwest grits for a balance of tradition and creativity. Iconic Salish Lodge dishes, such as the world-famous “Honey from Heaven” service and the classic Country Breakfast, remain a cherished part of the menu, bridging the past with an exciting new culinary vision.
The extensive wine list focuses on Pacific Northwest varietals presented by knowledgeable staff members. Classic and signature cocktails utilize local ingredients, for example, The Dale Cooper (a nod to the lodge’s history as a key filming location in the cult-classic show Twin Peaks) which uses local Kur Gin and Salish Dry Honey Cider made of honey sourced from Salish’s on-site apiary. The beverage team also offers a variety of creative spirit-free options.
The renovation introduces expanded dining spaces and an enhanced guest experience. At 3,116 square feet, The Restaurant’s dining room features grand windows and a unique multitier seating design, ensuring that nearly every table can enjoy stunning views of the falls, river or surrounding valley. Intimate lighting and natural design elements like wood, stone and leather create a welcoming and relaxed ambiance from which guests can appreciate the surrounding forest and river.
Led by MG2 Architecture and Absher Construction, the renovation pays homage to Salish Lodge & Spa’s 100+ year history. Thoughtful details ensure that the character and spirit of this distinctive place remain intact, while introducing a refreshed and elevated design.
The Terrace Bar and Terrace Patio provide an additional 1,237 square feet of covered and heated space for year-round outdoor dining. The Sunset Firepits area invites guests to enjoy bites and drinks around a cozy fire against the backdrop of Snoqualmie Falls.
