DUNDEE, OR – Sixty years after the first vines took root, the Dundee Hills remains the heart of Oregon’s Pinot Noir movement and a globally recognized AVA. Shaped by its signature Jory soils and a spirit of innovation, the region established a legacy of world-class wines, sustainability, and collaboration. As we celebrate 20 years since the official recognition of our AVA, we honor the pioneering winemakers who started it all and the next generation carrying the legacy forward. It started here for a reason.
The Dundee Hills AVA is home to many well-known vineyards, wineries, and tasting rooms, including 61 members of the Dundee Hills Winegrowers Association, 28 of which hold LIVE certification and three with B-Corp certification (more than any other AVA worldwide). Restaurants in the Dundee Hills range from fine dining to casual, all featuring seasonal menus with local ingredients where guests can enjoy expertly crafted meals paired with their favorite Dundee Hills vintages. Lodging options include luxury hotels, cozy B&Bs, and private rentals, all offering stunning views and warm hospitality.
To mark the 20-year milestone, the Dundee Hills Winegrowers Association (DHWA) will host a series of celebratory gatherings throughout the year. These events will highlight the region’s deep-rooted history, trailblazing winemakers, and forward-thinking approaches shaping the future of Dundee Hills wines.
