Alesong Brewing & Blending Releases 2022 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir

by | Mar 29, 2024

Award-winning brewery debuts second wine offering and $1 case shipping in OR, WA, CA & DC

After launching its wine program last fall with an oak-aged Pinot Gris, Eugene’s Alesong Brewing & Blending is releasing its first red wine: Pinot Noir. Sourcing 2022 vintage fruit from the Dundee Hills AVA and aging the wine in French oak for over a year, Alesong’s first Pinot Noir is refined and food-friendly, with mild acidity and notes of delicate berry and spice. Like all Alesong beverages, the wine reflects the patient and artistic approach that defines Alesong’s craft.

Alesong will officially debut its Pinot Noir on Saturday, April 6 from 12-7 p.m. at its scenic countryside tasting room alongside its full menu of seasonal kitchen offerings and a curated lineup of award-winning, barrel-aged beers. Founder and production manager, Brian Coombs, will present the new wine and be joined by co-founders Matt Van Wyk and Doug Coombs to answer questions and join in the festivities. To add to the celebration, Alesong invited beloved local chocolatier, Davey Wendt out of retirement to craft a truffle specifically paired to the new Pinot Noir.

“After releasing our ‘22 Pinot Gris in the Fall, we’ve been looking forward to the ’22 Pinot Noir release for some time,” says founder and production manager, Brian Coombs. “The Dundee Hills terroir is my favorite in Oregon and our wine is a great representation of its characteristic spice and earthiness. Aging for over a year in French Oak adds great tannin structure to complement the acidity and makes this wine really food friendly.”

Alesong is taking online pre-orders for its Pinot Noir (www.alesongbrewing.com/2022-pinot-noir) and anyone who pre-purchases three bottles or more will receive a complimentary branded wine key. In conjunction with the online pre-sale, Alesong is thrilled to announce direct-to-consumer shipping up and down the west coast (OR, WA, CA), as well as to residents of Washington, DC. All case purchases (12 bottles) of wine and cider during the pre-sale will ship for $1.
