Woodinville, WA (February 8, 2023) — Montinore Estate and Landlines Estates announce the opening of a new tasting room for both Willamette Valley wineries in Wine Walk Row, Woodinville, Washington’s premier wine tasting destination. The tasting room is located at 17401 133rd Avenue NE and is open Wednesday through Sunday.
The new outpost offers tasting flights from both wineries alongside a curated, wine-friendly food menu. Two wine flights are available for $25 each; Wines by the glass and bottle can also be enjoyed on-site. Opening flights include a Müller-Thurgau, a skin-contact Pinot Gris, and three single vineyard Pinot Noirs from Montinore Estate, and a second flight with four 2017 wines from Landlines Estates: Lost Corner Chardonnay, Great Circle Pinot Noir, Shy Horizon Pinot Noir, and Proper Motion Pinot Noir.
“I left Woodinville nearly 20 years ago for the opportunity to join the team at Montinore Estate. This opening really completes a circle for me, coming back to share thoughtfully made Oregon wines with the Woodinville community. said Stephen Webber, Winemaker at Montinore Estate and Landlines Estates. “We feel very lucky to have a new outlet in Washington and to have the opportunity to share our wines with the greater Seattle area.”
Montinore Estate was established in 1982 and is one of the country’s largest estate wineries producing wine with Biodynamic grapes. Montinore concentrates on Pinot Noir as well as cool climate white varieties and Northern Italian reds like Teroldego and Lagrein sourced from their 200-acre Demeter Certified Biodynamic and CCOF Certified Organic estate vineyard located in north Willamette Valley. Landlines Estates focuses exclusively on bottlings from Tidalstar Vineyard, an Organic and Biodynamic estate in Yamhill-Carlton AVA planted in 1999. Landlines was founded in 2016 solely to showcase the quality of this special site with small productions of four signature wines: three Pinot Noir and one Chardonnay.
The new Woodinville tasting room was designed by Boxwood Architecture and built by the West Hill Inc. construction group. The modern space is designed to offer semi-private seating, as well as bar, table, or lounge seating for different sized groups. There is also patio seating, and glass garage doors that can be opened in the summertime.
The abbreviated food menu suits all palates, with small bites like marinated olives and Marcona almonds, a selection of tinned fish, grilled sandwiches, and a rotating cheese plate and charcuterie plate.
Montinore Estate and Landlines Estates are in good company in Wine Walk Row, joining Washington wineries Valdemar Estates, Barnard Griffin, and L’Ecole N° 41, most known for producing Bordeaux varieties. The new tasting room offers a new style of wine to taste in the neighborhood: lighter terroir-driven reds with bright minerality and crisp white wines.
A parking garage for Wine Walk Row has an entrance on 133 Avenue NE, steps from the new tasting room.
