Award-winning Stoup Brewing released a collaboration beer with fellow Seattleites Zeeks Pizza and Sip Magazine. The three locally owned companies joined forces to create an Italian-style Pilsner titled Che Fico, roughly translated as “how cool!” in Italian.
For the second brewery collaboration by the local pizza group and regional magazine, teaming up with Stoup Brewing was the obvious choice, said Tommy Brooks, Zeeks Director of R&D and Business Development.
“We’ve been tight with Stoup and have poured their delicious beers for nearly a decade, so this collaboration feels like a longtime coming,” Brooks added. “I am a huge fan of their German Pilsner, which was the inspiration behind choosing Italian Pilsner as a style to collaborate on. With its dry and hoppy characteristics, Italian Pilsner is a perfect fit to pair with our food, and who doesn’t want to drink pilsner in the spring?”
Pronounced “kay fee-coh,” Che Fico Italian Pils clocks in at 5.5% ABV and is a crisp, refreshing pilsner that was dry hopped with Huell Blanc and Saaz hops for a subtle orange and white grape aroma and flavors of noble hop spice and herb.
Che Fico Italian Pils clocks in at 5.5% ABV and is available on draft exclusively at all 20 of the Zeeks Pizza locations, and can be found in dynamically designed 16-ounce cans at Stoup and select bottle shops in Seattle
