by | May 9, 2017

Embracing the warmth of the season, Northwesterners can be comforted that there is no shortage of summer concerts this year. These PNW wineries have plenty to offer to keep you entertained throughout the summer’s entirety. Indulge in the sunsets with the sip of your choice — and with music to accompany you, you’ll feel transported.

Arbor Crest Wine Cellars | Spokane, WA | Arbor Crest offers a vast lineup of concerts so visitors won’t miss a beat. Thursday nights feature Performers by the Patio to kick off your weekend, and you can wrap up your weekend nicely with Sunday’s Concerts on the Cliff until sunset. If wine and seasonal tapas weren’t enough, this Spokane favorite will also be pouring brews from Square Wheel Brewing — beer and wine lovers commence!

Tinhorn Creek Vineyards | Oliver, BC | Kick off your shoes at Tinhorn Creek’s amphitheater, located in the pictorial Okanagan Valley. Enjoy monthly jubilees from May to August, showcasing Canadian talent like the Julian Taylor Band and Big Sugar. Attendees can indulge in dishes from Miradoro Restaurant, the Tinhorn Creek’s onsite eatery.

Maryhill Winery | Goldendale, WA | Located along the remote Highway 14, Maryhill is truly a diamond in the rough. Positioned where Washington and Oregon meet, the winery overlooks the scenic Mt. Agate Ridge Vineyard | Eagle Point, OR | Sip on Agate Ridge’s fine, award-winning wines at the Rockin’ at The Ridge series this summer. If your style is more laid-back, this Rogue Valley location is your pick — it’s vineyards are deeply rooted in agricultural tradition and warm hospitality. This is a backyard affair, so bring your picnic blanket and maybe challenge your friends to a round of Giant Jenga.

Chateau Ste. Michelle | Woodinville, WA | Just a quick 30-minute trip from the bustle of downtown Seattle, this Woodinville-based winery will host another string of outdoor summer concerts to commemorate its 50th anniversary. Visitors can sip Cabernet and relax on the lawns of the historic chateau; enjoying contemporary-music headliners like Elvis Costello, John Legend and Santana. Mission Hill Winery | West Kelowna, BC | Varietal wines, exquisite cuisine, modern architecture — bask under the stars this summer at a Mission Hill concert. Okanagan Lake shimmers in the backdrop to complete the intimate scene at this 1,000-seat amphitheater. Act fast, many of Mission Hill’s highly anticipated shows, including Jewel and Michael Bolton, are expected to sell out quickly.

Gilbert Cellars | Yakima, WA | Let’s set the scene. Glass in hand and music in the air, the sun sets along the Ahtanum Ridge and lavender stirs in the breeze. The Hackett Ranch at Gilbert Cellars stimulates all the senses, and it will be hosting another diverse lineup of summer concerts — Music in the Vines — for the seventh year. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to recline in the warm, grass amphitheater.

Del Rio Vineyards | Gold Hill, OR | Gently rolling slopes of grapevines nestle in Southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley, displaying the picturesque Del Rio Vineyards. Soak in those warm, summer nights with music on the lawn outside the tasting room — the vintage 1864 heirloom previously known as the Rock Point Stage Hotel.
